Yeah, and I like the firey competitive nature. That's what recruits need to hear about UI basketball. This is a blue-collar team.

While I think your point is valid I tend to have a small anti-alum bias when it comes to hiring. Generally I feel like it biases everyones opinion in an overly positive way.

What nonsense from me.

Louisville is great. My problem has always been with Lexington and the royal shafting Illini suffered at Rupp in 84. I got over it a long time ago, but it's kinda fun to get worked up again. Not at all serious.

It's true. I never liked the idea that Abe was born in KY, childhood in Indiana (another nemesis of ours) before clear-thinking led him to Illinois. As they say, it was a game-changer for the US of America.

President Lincoln was 6'4.5" - our tallest president. He did a pretty good job. But just think how much more he might have accomplished if only Naismith had been around then.

Illinois: lose assistants, hire new ones. Who cares?

But retain the recruits. I think that's Coach Brad's job right now.
