Hard feelings will probably go away pretty quickly when you start writing six figure checks to a guy.
Failing to promote someone deserving can lead to losing access to said person's connections. Additionally, changing that person's title and responsibilities can lead to more effectively leveraging those relationships. Especially if recruiting was not necessarily a primary focus of that person's efforts.
Thought they had a little falling out with the Adam Miller situation and some things were said privately in a meeting but sounds like fences might have been mended especially if Nick can bring in some MIF kids and not take up an actual assistant spot.
There was a heck of lot more that went into those 2 recruitments than Chin. The down payment on Ayo actually started back in the Groce era.

I think the $160k referenced was the head coaching position. Which means NI is making far less as an assistant. Probably no more than $50k or so. This would be a big raise.
