Gotta wonder if CU would hire another Boise State coach after experiencing the Dan Hawkins years. He sucked more than Pearl Harbor and that's an awful lot girl.
So you’re saying Hawkins was awful then? Like Ben Affleck needs acting school?
team america vomit GIF

(Did NOT expect a Team America 🇺🇸 reference on Loyalty. That flick sure is an acquired taste but it def. has some moments. Lol)

I don’t know man they’ve been to the mountain top in the not too recent past, so what’s possible is still in their minds.
It's totally possible to win a national title at Auburn. The crazy-making thing is that the line between winning a national title and going like 7-5 at Auburn is next to nothing. Ask Gus Malzahn.

Because Gary isn’t going to the Buffs
Uh, if Gary thinks he's getting a better job than the Buffs Gary is retired and he just doesn't realize it yet.

whats he holding out for ?
there are worse places to go out to pasture with some 7-5 and 8-4 records than Boulder, Co
or does his TCU money get cut substantially if hes a HC somewhere?

Gary Patterson is very employable if he wants to be Mr. Serious Real Deal Football Coach stepping in to set things in order at a dumpster fire.

A 62 year old who huffed and puffed but couldn't quite keep TCU winning long term in a softening Big XII is not a candidate for a plum major gig. though. Especially with TCU's administration shockingly looking vindicated in their belief that Patterson was the problem.

(Btw, TCU's co-OC/OL coach is AJ Ricker, remember him?)

Think about how we talk about 89 or 05 in basketball like it was yesterday.
Of course it's possible, but they expect to be in the conversation every single year and if they aren't, they want to get rid of the coach. Harsin wasn't the right guy and neither was Chizik, but Malzahn sure was and they had no problem running him out of town for going 6-4. That would be like us firing BU this year for going 13-7 in conference in a year in which IU wins the Natty and UM goes to the Final 4.

South Florida has fired head coach Jeff Scott.

Bulls are 1-8 this season following a 54-28 loss at Temple yesterday. Scott was 4-26 during his tenure in Tampa.

Special Teams coordinator Daniel Da Prato has been named the interim head coach.

The way we’ve been recruiting Florida, wonder if there are any USF worthwhile potential flips or transfers.

The number of recent assistant coaches that were once assistants at Illinois who have gone on and found success elsewhere is just short of improbable.

Lane is the least trustworthy person in the business, which is an impressive feat. Till Auburn hires someone else, I'm going to assume it's him. And even then, I'll just assume he'll take some other job.
It would be interesting if Lane left. I dont see why you leave Ole Miss. they seem to have a reasonable fan base compared to Auburn. Some nice traditions and the perks of being in the SEC. Nothing would surprise me but I wouldn’t leave

Yeah, I wouldn't want anything to do with Auburn, either. Lane's career is already crazy, though, so I just assume he's gonna stay on that crazy track.
