I feel like Brad would be raked through the coals if we had an equivalent of the situation with Kohler not returning to MSU
Jim Jackson (650/850 GS), Rich Hill (250/388 GS) & Joe Smith (620/1030 GS) come to mind. The pros I can remember bouncing seemed to fit two categories:
1) Rotation or bench players who got short contracts and took what was offered. They moved out of necessity, not choice.
2) Headcases.
Does anyone have clear example of a solid starter bouncing teams almost every year who wasn't a head case? They may well exist. I just can't think of any.
Before someone says "Ish", yes he played real minutes. For me Ish is still case #1. He was frequently waived, or on 1 year contracts. I think he was also padding in a few multi-player deals.
And noooooow forward from the Utah Jazz… Jaxoooooooooooon Ka-ka-kakoooooooohller.
Jim Jackson - Mostly a head case. I'm a starter and I want to win. Did not re-sign and/or demanded trade from any team that wasn't going to make the playoffs or did not have him as the starter. He got a rep. There were multiple seasons in the middle without any contract and he was only picked up to fill in for injuries (thus starting).Jim Jackson (650/850 GS), Rich Hill (250/388 GS) & Joe Smith (620/1030 GS) come to mind.
I also think a good chunk of these 5 in 5 players are some mix of head cases and/or bag chasers.
Players who have their own state cases are still eligible.
Its the ones that were dependent on the Colorado class-wide ruling, that are ineligible:
Michigan’s “depth” addition is ineligible for now.
One that's not listed here is Cade Tyson, as he was also among the Colorado-only plaintiffs. Speculated to have been practicing with Minnesota and considering a return.Players who have their own state cases are still eligible.

isn't this just the Coleman Hawkins situation. Kohler is just going "home" vs getting his bag.I feel like Brad would be raked through the coals if we had an equivalent of the situation with Kohler not returning to MSU
