they used to
that graph includes 2021 - present
I suspect it’s fallen off since PAC10 fell apart .

there are a lot of players ( & parents ) that grew up really admiring that school & program , but even that is not what it once was
Plus David Shaw was there until 2022 too

He's gone
Makes a convenient scapegoat. How many ADs have a Natty in football AND bball?
News says he's in trouble after piling up so many scandals on his watch - Harbaugh, Moore, and their hockey coach too.

15 years. $75 million + NIL opportunities.

$100 million for forever might be the first misstep that Josh has taken.

Gotta imagine in 15 years, their next 15 year deal is another $150 million.

If anything, this makes me feel MORE validated that Josh Whitman’s decision was a GOOD one.

Gies’ gift was $25MIL Larger than Galaxy’s. Let’s say that’s a wash for what Galaxy may do for future “NIL opportunities”.

Also, where stand it written that GMS must forever be the name? If the answer is nowhere, then it’s no different than what Texas Tech may do after 15 years (explore opportunities outside of Galaxy, unless Galaxy remains interested).

Nothing to worry about for quite some time for us. I don’t for a minute believe that Josh Whitman rushed into a decision, and doesn’t have a plan for if/when future opportunities arise.

such as “ Gies Memorial Stadium” at the Biden Complex . hahaha

It looks like the Gies naming rights are permanent. Over the next 100 years, Texas Tech is positioned to get $1 billion+ for their rights.

I am happy that it’s a person and not a corporation, but I also want to win as many games as possible.

That is literally AI’s assumption of what will happen. You’re really using that as evidence?
