DJW -- a talent yet to be unharnessed, I do believe. I hope he thrives elsewhere!

Boy do we ever have some holes on our roster. Recruiting this late in the off-season is new territory for us, too. It seems the majority of available players are either Top 25 or bottom 50 (primarily transfers). And I don't think we have much of a chance with the former, which leaves us where?

Further, when I combine our depleted roster with BU's 0-6 start to the conference season at OSU last year, I get a little nervous.

JT would help......

God dangit. God dangit. God dangit. His athleticism and potential in this scheme. We need Alstork.

Like a lot of others have said, in addition to my disappointment at hearing this, I will really root for this kid and hope he explodes big time wherever he ends up.

BU is on record as saying he likes guys that are "motored up". Pretty much the exact opposite of DJW who was more Snoop Dog than junkyard dog.

Great athlete when he turned it on. Just not on often enough.

Understand what you are saying here, but man, you just never know what a new coaching staff can do for a kid like DJW. That's what I was waiting to see. Just like Lovie coaching up the past coaching staff's kids to see who wants to step up, who actually can step up when given the opportunity.

Good luck to him. I really wanted to see what BU could do with him. Lots of untapped potential

AJ ain't going no where. His family bleeds Orange and Blue with great Pride. You watch this young man will strive under a new offense

I'm not sure AJ gets a lot of minutes, he needs to start shooting a lot better. He is one of our better one on one defenders. I do not see him transferring.
As for DJW he probably didn't see many minutes coming. If he was going to get any at all, it would have had to be as a backup at the four.

This stinks. I was really excited to see how he would develop this upsoming season with a new coach and without Hill directly in front of him on the depth chart.

Walker did not play him in our last NIT game when we only had 8 players playable. Walker stays and it is obvious that DJW will go. Walker's words into BU's ear won't be very good about DJW. AJ also had very few chances in NIT and screwed his minutes, so we need to see if he stays.

This is a very interesting take, but just to play devil's advocate, isn't it possible that Walker just let the seniors play most of the minutes in their last few games?

I always felt like DJW was on the same path as Shaw. Both were top 25 in the country as Freshman/Sophmore and both continued to slide over the next 5 or 6 years of their careers.. Good luck to DJW wherever he ends up. MAC is my guess.

Exactly. If he wasn't from Simeon or played for Meanstreets or from Chicago he just never had the consistent production pretty much ever.

If he was from Gurnee not sure we'd have same reaction.

Best of luck in the future DJW.

Wasn't JRich from Gurnee?

Regardless, it's too bad it didn't work out because we needed the depth, but I wish him the best of luck.
