I think this is an interesting point. Given that Minny was in Bonus+, if Iowa had fouled, they would have shot two free throws. I suppose they could have tried the ole' make the first and intentionally miss the second trick but that rarely works. Would have taken some guts from Fran to call for the foul but it might have saved them. IIRC Iowa was out of time outs so maybe they didn't have the time to call for a foul instead of letting Minny tie the game with a 3.

If they were out of timeouts it probably shows that their base philosophy, the one they probably practice, is to not foul.

if they were a fouling team, all those guys out there would know to do it. If they were a foul a specific guy in that situation team, they would have talked about who to foul in their scouting report.

So all signs point to their philosophy is not to foul, unless every single player didn’t properly execute their late game plan, which would be hilariously awesome since they lost.
