Kentucky falls to 1-6. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer coach.

So, with a few games in the books who do we like? I haven't seen NW play, are they for real?
Collins said at the end of last year that they were like the Illini the previous year and would be good this year. They got even less respect than the projections for the Illini last year. They look pretty real to me but still 2nd tier.

I expect them to come down to earth after the next stretch of 5: @Iowa, @Mich, Illinois, @OSU, Iowa. But they are for real in that they are solid enough to pull off some unexpected wins. Can't sleep on them. They pass the ball well and they are shooting well from 3. They're playing like a tournament team.

That is a tough schedule. They could easily go from 3-0 to 3-5.
In a normal year, 5 loses over that schedule stretch would absolutely be expected of Northwestern. This year, If they win a few, it will be a coming out statement. If they hang tough but lose close ones, I suppose that's a warning about.

I don't know what to expect.

Northwestern has looked good so far and I do think they've got a good shot at getting into the tournament, but they've only played 1 quad I game so far (@Hoosiers) and their next 15 games are all quad I. We will find out soon if they're for real or not.

MSU and OSU weren't quad 1 games???
