Dec 28 Games

I'm going to love seeing the Spartans in sole possession of 14th place at the end of the night!

Seriously hoping that Izzo's amazing run is coming to an end --- and that Illinois can return to the top for the next 15-20 years.

While I hope for the same thing, they've got one of the two best HS players in the country, regardless of class, committed for 2022 and another top 35 kid. Add that to the 5* Max Christie from Meadows and 2 other top 70 kids in 2021 and it seems more likely to be a blip.

Unless Minny implodes should be 0-3 for MSU. Dry your tears everyone.

Not a lot of intriguing games today, but these three are at the top of KenPom's list.
I removed his paywall info. Rankings are his

Great to see Minny and Maryland win tonight. Can't wait to see Colorado take it to Arizona tonight.

Blue bloods are feeling it this year. Makes you wonder if there is a common theme. Do these coaches know how to recruit really well and rely on the talent, but can't get their guys thru adversity (covid, et. al)?

As far as Duke And UK are concerned, it has a lot to do with the one and done systems they both have built. Not having a complete offseason to build team chemistry and cohesion is not ideal to that system. And that being said, I'll go shed a tear for them.

My question, not having seen them play, is about Northwestern....are they really any good or just in a hot stretch of shooting? Can they defend bigs in half court? Can they score inside against Kofi? Can they stop Ayo? Can they hold Garza under 30?Are they quick or just smart kids that understand angles and anticipate? We will know the answers for certain very soon.

Also, in tonight's updated version of "How is MSU still ranked?", combined with "Anyone that doesn't have Illinois in their top 10 hasn't been paying attention to actual game results":

Is the B1G great or are there a lot of good, albeit flawed teams with comparable talent? Outside of Nebraska, Penn St it would appear the other 12 are capable of beating each other on any given night

Penn State destroyed Virginia Tech by 20 on the road.
