Dec 29 Games

Nance is certainly a match-up problem for us, but I don't think it will matter. I think we can outrebound them by a lot and bury them with extra possessions.
He's a generous 225. I'd like to see our two bigs play some minutes together, Take away his outside shot and make him put it on the deck.

Is, brought NW back to earth. Noticed they double teamed Garza early in the game. Now we beat Pu and move forward.

Houston goes down. They looked nothing like a top 15 team but it’s the only game I’ve seen them play

Iowa definitely figured him out in the second half. Only 4 points after the break. I might rewatch to see what changed.

151st on KenPom. I wouldn't be surprised if this is Weber's last hurrah. He brought in 7 kids in his 2020 recruiting class and only 1 4-star. And his 2021 class so far consists of 1 center who is 224th overall according to 247.

You could argue he's followed a similar trajectory at K-State, maybe not as bad a fall though, since Illinois was in such good shape when he was hired here.

The good news is you can make a butt-load of money as a mediocre P5 college basketball coach. I see they lowered his buy-out with the extension he got a couple years ago, so they prepared. Should make it easy to pull the plug.
