Dickie V on the call announces it's BBall season. I admit I grow weary of his schtick pretty quickly, but it's fun for a few minutes.

Hope he beats it.

God bless him. He coined "Flyin Illini", "Lou-do", and stood on his head because of Austin Peay. Love him (which I'm not ashamed to say I do) or hate him, he is an important piece of NCAA Hoops history.

I met him at a book signing at the Union. He's pretty much like that all the time. Slightly quieter without the microphone, but still the Vitalisms were all there.
