Anyone checked in on NOAH (the new shot tracking system) lately? I mean, first year in the program and we’ve never shot worse.

Have to imagine that guy’s seat is getting warm….

What the hell is he talking about??? We have only shot 32% or higher in 5 of our last effing 15 games!!!! We shoot 32% from 3 just about 32% of the damn time! What an asinine thing to say. He is turning into Beckman before our eyes.
If we shot 32% for the game, we would have only lost by 25!

I’m remembering the 78-79 Illini team that started the season 15-0 and was ranked #2, this was the team that beat Magic Johnson’s MSU team. 15-0 start, then finished the season at 19-11. My freshman year.

Not sure Whitman alone can handle this fire. Need the big money alumni

Illinois 10 Assists, 9 Turnovers, 30 Rebounds, 10 O-REB
Duke 28 Assists, 6 Turnovers, 44 Rebounds, 16 O-REB

Illinois looks like a different team than when they were blowing out other teams and also when winning tough games. Their moving without the ball and crisp pinpoint passes are missing. Plus they did not defend Duke very well. Duke had 52 points in paint to Illini 40. Duke also had 12 fast break points to Illini 2.

2. Chris Beard is a garbage person and anyone pushing him as a future Illini head coach needs to look in the mirror and ask real questions

Why is he a garbage person? Whatever he was accused of at Texas was dropped. He was also a guest at TSJ’s draft night party. He’s a phenomenal coach and will be excellent anywhere he goes. Hopefully it’s not Indiana.

The promoter of UFC never even got suspended for on camera getting physical with his wife after she attacked him.

You’re not in position to call anyone a garbage person based on accusations. Hopefully the TSJ situation taught you that.

43 and the line was 8.5
Had to drive home tonight and missed the game. My wife asked me if I'd try to find the game on the radio and I replied, "Nope. It's going to be an embarrassing loss. Probably around 20 points." Boy, did I underestimate our ability to tank the second half. In any case, beautiful drive home, the brakes went out, and I had other excitement to deal with. Finally got home and I looked up the score. Woof. Do I want to watch the lowlights? I wanted to read the comments first. Shout out to the Illini fans. Are we a football school now? On the other hand, Illinois still has one very solid head basketball coach.

After the Uconn game last year, coach said “if that’s what a championship team looks like, we have some work to do.”

Same thing can be said after tonight’s game, with a completely different style of roster.

I don’t know what the answer is, but in both cases the eye test wasn’t even close.

I got to ask who would of had on the odds that Mike Woodson would have a better win in February then Brad has had?

Just thinking out loud here:

Kansas would be the domino we don’t want falling…prolly right? Kansas is most likely to just straight-up hire a cutthroat killer and not even pretend to worry about sketchy reps/optics.

The Tarholes are too up their own butt with their hires…and it causes them to make underwhelming choices…
It’s not unlike the old head fan contingent at Bloomington…
They’d ideally like to make their hire with some sort of six degrees type connection back to Dean/Bobby if at all possible.

There’s a scenario there that Bill Self comes back to Illinois though. And he’d be loved here AND would have more money to play with since Big 10 is way better than the Big 12.

Hell yes at least he can coach something Brad Underwood can't do

I’ll always be appreciative to Brad for bringing us out of the Groce era. This year he has had tough luck. But even with tough luck, you can’t lose by 40 at MSG. Maybe he earns a few more years if those Ayo, Frazier, Kofi teams make a deep run, but they didn’t.

Next year could be a bigger problem. We are about to have almost no continuity again. Are donors going to pony up to bring in elite transfers after this year?

The way I see it..

KJ: gone to NBA
Riley: gone to NBA
Tre: 3 schools in 3 years. Feud with underwood.. likely gone
Morez: favorite assistant left, probably gone
Booth: gone
Ty: gone
Tomi: who knows
Boswell: who knows
Ben: likely gone, don’t think we want him back
Dre: who knows
Davis: who knows

Could be the time to make a change..
