EA Sports College Football 25

I'm hesitant to get excited about this game, and honestly, I'm not holding any hope for the game. EA ceased to amaze me pretty much after the PS2 era.

Modders like the group at NCAA Next make the old style games more fun. I've been loving playing NCAA '06 again with this NCAA Next mod! It's like a brand new game and has almost all recent features.

Anyway, not the point of this thread :), but my two cents!

I, on the other hand, am getting my hopes sky high for the game. I need this game. It's been too damn long. I can't wait until this summer. Based upon the details we heard Illinois provided to EA last summer about the Illinois gameday experience, I think this will be a fantastic experience.

Wow! This means that EA is going to be paying Luke an NIL deal on top of the standard $600. This is how they are rewarding the top players in the sport. Look at the names he is in the company of:

Alabama QB Jalen Milroe
Alabama DB Malachi Moore
Clemson QB Cade Klubnik
Colorado WR/DB Travis Hunter
Illinois QB Luke Altmyer
LSU QB Garret Nussmeier
Michigan CB Will Johnson
Michigan RB Donovan Edwards
Missouri QB Brady Cook
Ohio State CB Denzel Burke
Ohio State RB Quinshon Judkins
Penn State RB Nick Singleton
Texas QB Quinn Ewers
Texas Tech RB Tahj Brooks

I mean cmon that is HUGE!

$600 to 11,000 div football players is $6.6M payout. Good start to share the wealth with student athletes.
Plus they get a free game $60. For most of these athletes it is the only NIL they will see in their career.

I'm 39 years old and this is going to make me buy the game and the latest and greatest gaming system. My wife is going to HATE me! Midlife crisis is coming at warp speed!
Yeah it hit me the other day that I'll essentially be spending over $500 just for one game since I don't plan on playing any other games, and I'm strangely okay with that.

I remember playing NCAA08 thru 14 on my Xbox360 for hours each week in college and after. Looking forward to playing this again on my PC this summer.
I think the current news is that it's not certain to get a PC port...

That's what I heard too. Yet another advantage of these mods for '06 and '14: they can be played on PCs.

I'm not wanting to write of this game completely, but I definitely think I'll wait to read some reviews before dropping $60+ out of the gate.

This was literally the only console game I played (not counting handheld) so I'm still rocking with the PS3 since I've never needed to upgrade. Looks like I'll need to start saving up for a PS5.
Do you play COD MW3? I haven't played much recently, but I've been rocking that game for many many years and never got the urge to upgrade to a PS4/5.......

If this article is correct, PC hasn't been announced yet. Hopefully EA will make it available for PC, I don't want to fight my kids for tv time or have to buy a new Xbox.
