Let's hope he does better than his 25 standin who always seems to get fired immediately.

This was frustrating to me because I like to start out as a coordinator at a lower level school and work my way up, but the timing never works out to take the Illinois job. I was OC at NIU my last play around, and of course not in a position to get offered the job when the stand-in got fired. Then whoever took over did well enough to hold onto that job long enough that I had to go ahead and turn Marshall into dynasty. And then when it opened up, they didn't even offer me the job! So their JW stand-in was also apparently not very good.

I've tried to get the call from Illinois in like 5 dynasties at this point. The timing is just never right. But then again the game will also offer you like G5 coordinator positions after you've won championships as a P4 HC

Yeah, after winning 3 nattys with Marshall I ended up having to take Iowa St. That was the best job I could get lol. And it wasn't just one weird offseason, I was looking to get out every year but just couldn't get a decent offer. I hope they fix that.

Another thing I'd like them to fix is transfers. I've had multiple instances where I moved to a new job at a higher profile program, and really wanted to bring over a player from my previous team who entered the portal. And I couldn't even try recruit him because I didn't make his top-10 or top-8 or whatever! In what world is that realistic - players follow coaches all the time.

This word fits perfectly for the GameCockServicers. Spurned...spurn...spur...spurr...Spurrier...Steve Spurrier!

I keep waiting to see the first screenshots of the Illini in the game but nothin' yet! I assume the Script helmets are added as a new uniform option (I doubt they'll bother with the ivy-themed Block I ones we wore for the Wrigley game) ... doubt they even know we chopped down the trees that actually gave the Horseshoe a little bit of backdrop scenery, so we will most likely still get to enjoy those! :ROFLMAO:

One thing that really bothers me is how seemingly little effort is put into the Team Builder mode ... must not be a money maker. I mean, the Create a School option from WAY back in like 2006 at least had things like a few generic fight songs for you to choose, significantly more logo options (including block letters A-Z, generic stadium layouts, the ability to select a rival school, etc. While this version gives you a lot of freedom for creating uniforms, a lot of other stuff is somewhat disappointing. If you choose Louisville's stadium for your Team Builder team, it just simply cannot be that difficult to remove the "Louisville" writing from everywhere and announce the game as taking place in your chosen location!

Looks like the SEC needs another bowl series / season beat down so they get ranked more appropriately for the next EA Sports update.
That’s another thing to reason look forward to the bowl season. Eventually SEC egos might come down to align with their performance. It could take decades of beat downs though.

We win the Big Ten, have the number 1 seed, and then get demolished in the playoffs...

They simulated the 2025 season.

  5. Miami (10-3)

  9. Louisville (9-3)
