I used to play the Fallout and Elder Scrolls games, but played them so much I lost interest in just doing additional playthroughs. Haven't touched a video game in probably 3-4 years.

Last time I thought to check, it seemed like the next Elder Scrolls game was still a few years out and Fallout 5 is looking at a release in the early-to-mid 2030s. The complexity of game development must have really ramped up the last 10-15 years or so. It never took 10+ years to develop a game before.

I was also always a big fan of those games and have a tough time getting into anything these days. The two games since that hooked me that I would recommend are Sunset Overdrive and Just Cause 3 (4 is ok, but not as good, couldn't stick with it long enough to complete).

LET'S GO! Waiting until 2028 sucks, but hopefully it's worth the wait. I hope they put as much effort into it as they did with the football side, including allowing Team Builder for creating basketball teams. Hey, if nothing else, we can do cool mockups of Illini basketball uniforms if we are still stuck with the 1LL1NO1S rags in 2028! :ROFLMAO:

Its better than 2k making it. Brings competition to the basketball games
NFL 2K5 was the pinnacle of modern football games. There were few, if any, guaranteed touchdown plays like Madden/NCAAF, and the game mechanics were light years ahead of any other football game.

Madden and NCAAF mechanics and in-gsmr realism have and generally will always be garbage, because it's being marketed as an arcade game to kids. 100% willing to die on this smallest of molehills.

I just realized this was the basketball forum and my argument means nothing to this conversation. However, this should stand as a testament to NFL 2K5's brilliance.

Lol man, I am in the same boat as you... was waiting to replace my PS4 until a new version of one of those games comes out in a couple of years. This new EA Sports game will be right on schedule, hopefully.

Edit: 2K might also be making a college basketball game

2028 is perfect. Just in time to be celebrating our Natty from the previous year!

What about GTA6? That's been 12 years...
To go even further back, what about Half Life 2 episode 3 or Half Life 3? 18 years on that
