Everton won 1:0 at Crystal Palace on a late goal in the 87th minute by Seamus Coleman. Game was an ugly one to watch but the Toffees will take the 3 points whatever way they can get them.

With the 4th round FA Cup matches taking place next weekend, Everton does not play again until February 1st when they travel to Stoke City.

Sign Alexis Sanchez to an extension, now.

Hull midfielder Ryan Mason reportedly "fighting for his life" after suffering a fractured skull in a collision with Gary Cahill of Chelsea: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ryan-mason-suffers-fractured-skull-9674938?x

It sounds like he is in stable condition now, thankfully. Scary stuff. I was watching live and have to give credit to the referee for stopping play immediately and calling for the training staff. Who knows what could've happened if play wasn't stopped and this is exactly why this head injury rule was put in place a few years ago.

It seems like nobody wants to challenge Chelsea for the title. IIRC Arsenal, Spurs, Man City, and Liverpool have all been in 2nd recently but all of them keep taking turns at dropping points.

What happens now that Arsene Wenger is charged with misconduct for shoving ref?

Keith Hackett, a former Premier League referee before retiring in 1994, argued Monday that the FA should make an example out of Wenger to protect “every official at every level.”

“They need to send out a strong, clear message — officials are sacrosanct and if you lay hands on them you will pay a heavy price,” he wrote in the Telegraph.

“What I would like to see as an absolute minimum is a six-game ban — but a far more severe punishment than simply being banished from the touchline,” he added. “Instead, I would like to see Wenger barred from any contact with his team once inside the stadium.”

I mean...I understand the premise. Of course you must protect officials. But something this harsh is kind of laughable considering he only nudged the guy. Compare that to some of the red card tackles that players make. Those are actions that can end a guys career in some instances and they only get a 3 game ban. I say give him a 1 match ban and leave it at that.

On a side note, even when Arsene Wenger is mad he still looks sweet and innocent.:D

I'm assuming you think bald eagles are also sweet and innocent:

The first match in the new Arena era is today against Serbia. Can't take much out of it because there are no European players. But I like seeing Klestan, Nagbe, and Bradley in the lineup together. Those 3 are arguably the 3 most creative players the US has.

Bradley? Really not a fan of him as a creative player...in fact think he is a major weak link when put in that position

He's definitely inconsistent. Some games he is brilliant and other games he makes me want to pull my hair out. But I think he was also put in bad positions the past few years because he has been the only guy to play through. Put another distributor or 2 around him and his job becomes much easier.

Kind of an obvious statement, but Spurs and Arsenal really needed 3 points today. The battle for the top 4 is shaping up to be exciting.

Everton win 6:3 over Bournemouth. Everton was up 3:0 at half after a goal 31 seconds into the match by Romelu Lukaku, the quickest goal ever scored by an Everton player at Goodison Park in the Premier League. James McCarthy added a goal in the 23rd minute and Lukaku scored another one in the 29th minute. Bournemouth got it to within 3:2 at the 70th minute after a pair of goals by Joshua King. Lukaku then scored two more goals for the Toffees, giving him 4 on the day. Ross Barkley added an open net goal in stoppage time in the second half.

Toffees travel to Middlesbrough next weekend. Everton won 3:1 at home in the previous match back in September.
