Hull is on fire right now, and Liverpool is the opposite. Sunderland with a huge 3 points againt Crystal Palace. The title race may be finished, but the relegation battle is shaping up to be crazy. Could Leicester really go from champions to relegated? I think there is a decent chance that they will because they also have to focus on Champions League.

Kind of an obvious statement, but Spurs and Arsenal really needed 3 points today. The battle for the top 4 is shaping up to be exciting.

Gunners caved in a big one on Saturday. Getting to be routine. :(

Gunners lucky again. First goal was a clear handball from Sanchez and should have been disallowed. Gibbs should have been sent off with red card early in 2nd half as he was last man back and intentionally fouled Markovic.

Everton with the 0:0 draw at Middlesbrough. Both teams had decent scoring chances but neither one could get it in the back of the net. With the FA Cup matches happening next weekend, Everton won't play again until two weeks from today when they host Sunderland.

Big 3 points for Swansea. I think most would say firing Bob Bradley was unfair, but you can't argue with the results since.

BIG upset of the day in the FA Cup was Lincoln City, a team currently playing in the fifth tier of English football, defeating Burnley 1:0 today. Lincoln City becomes the first non-league side to make it to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup since QPR...in 1914.

To add some perspective on this Lincoln City story, they beat two Championship League sides in prior rounds before today's victory. Lincoln City, whose nickname is the Imps, have not played any higher than the third tier of English football since the 1960-61 campaign.

Everton with the 2:0 win over Sunderland at Goodison. Goals from Gueye and Lukaku. Jermain Defoe had a near goal go off the crossbar that would have equalized the match late for Sunderland. Now the Toffees prepare for a tough match at Spurs next Sunday.

Claudio Ranieri was sacked by Leicester City: http://www.espnfc.com/leicester-cit...ester-298-days-after-premier-league-title-win

The Foxes currently sit 1 point outside the relegation zone. Ranieri also becomes the 4th Premier League winning coach in the last 5 seasons to not finish the following season after winning the title.

In hindsight, Leicester really messed up. They should've sold Mahrez, Vardy, and a couple others like Drinkwater. Then use that money to rebuild with young, hungry players. That is how small teams succeed.

My Gunners continue to tease me into thinking this is the year. Maybe it is time for Wenger to move on.

Wasn't able to watch much of the match as I slept in a bit but it seems that Everton's defense was a bit iffy at times today in their 3:2 loss at White Hart Lane to Tottenham.

Wasn't nearly as close as the score indicates. Spurs hit the woodwork twice and should have had a penalty in the first half. They easily could have scored 4 or 5.

Holy Barcelona!!!

Probably the 2nd best soccer game I've ever seen. First was when Man City won the league in the final minute obviously.

They basically came back twice. Scored 3 but PSG scored the away goal so they had to score 3 more. Psychologically most teams would be dead after conceding that costly away goal.

Oh and Pulisic had a goal and assist in Dortmund's win.

Everton win comfortably at home today vs. Hull City 4:0. It was 1:0 early on a goal by youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin and stayed this way until Huddlestone picked up a red card in the 73rd minute for Hull leading to goals later by Enner Valencia and two goals in stoppage time by Lukaku. Toffees draw even on points with Arsenal at 50 in a tie for 5th with the Gunners with two matches in hand.

Toffees travel to Anfield for the Merseyside derby in two weeks after next week's international break.
