Everton win comfortably at home today vs. Hull City 4:0. It was 1:0 early on a goal by youngster Dominic Calvert-Lewin and stayed this way until Huddlestone picked up a red card in the 73rd minute for Hull leading to goals later by Enner Valencia and two goals in stoppage time by Lukaku. Toffees draw even on points with Arsenal at 50 in a tie for 5th with the Gunners with two matches in hand.

Toffees travel to Anfield for the Merseyside derby in two weeks after next week's international break.

Most points taken in 2017.

Pretty much guaranteed a spot in Europa league next year as well.

Need a big summer transfer window and get Lukaku/Barkley signed to LTCs.

Thursday is the big stadium announcement. Rumor is 80K

Is there another soccer thread to talk about the pathetic USMNT roster that Arena is trotting out for the biggest qualifiers we've ever had in terms of importance of qualifying for a World Cup

The Middlesbrough goalie slipping and allowing a walk in goal to MUN this morning was embarrassing. Didn't really matter but it iced the game away for united.

I did see no Guzan due to he and his wife expecting a child in the coming days.

Though I thought I saw that Dempsey and Pulisic would be available to play.

Arena and Co. sending a message to the rest of CONCACAF. I still think there are many problems that need to be addressed, but for 1 night it was nice to watch fun USA soccer.

I think with the talent pool the USMNT has right now they should be expecting to make the quarterfinals in 2018. Obviously much of that depends on who they draw, but that isn't an unreasonable goal. Arena needs to get it right.

Nice to get that 6:0 win.

Game actually is a HUGE help for GD as U.S. is now +1 in that category.

Big game Tuesday night in Panama City. Game will air at 9 PM CT on beIN Sports.

Oh and for those who haven't seen it, Everton's Seamus Coleman will be out for the foreseeable future after suffering a broken leg during Ireland's WCQ match yesterday with Wales on a dirty tackle by Neil Taylor.

That was a fantastic game and I'm glad I was wrong about the roster r

Injuries are piling up still. Need points in Panama

Altidore was the unsung hero last night and Pulisic is the real deal y'all.

I still think you are right about the roster. The big dilemma with world cup qualifying in CONCACAF is whether you should try your best to get the 3 points or try your best to prepare your team for the World Cup.

When we get to Russia, we won't be able to play Pulisic and Bradley together in central midfield, they would get torn apart. And it will be a miracle if Dempsey is able to play 90 minutes in Russia as well. For now, it looks good...but dominating CONCACAF is nothing special.

Pulisic would probably be fine but Bradley did not play well Friday night. I don't care if he scored he was trash overall.

Well, Morris was hurt, Brooks was hurt, so let's see what a 34 year old Clint Dempsey just weeks back from heart complications can do, and I guess we can give that 18 year old that's playing in Germany a look.

I get Bein Sports on Comcast but it's not in HD. The channel says it is in HD but it's definitely not. Anyone know if this is a Bein problem or a Comcast problem?

Everton loses 3:1 at Anfield today. Toffees still have not won at their Merseyside rival's home pitch in Premier League play since 1999.

Lots of question surrounding why Koeman changed the style of play from what he normally has with Everton.

Toffees travel to Old Trafford for a Tuesday afternoon matchup with Manchester United.

On a side note, I was somewhat surprised this had such an early kickoff. Would have thought for a rivalry like this, they may have had kickoff later in the day.

They have started doing the early kickoffs for many of the derbies. It limits the pre-match drinking, and hopefully any associated violence between rival fans.

True. Though in the case of Liverpool and Everton violence isn't as much of an issue.

Was actually talking to someone on another board and they said that part of the reason it may have started early may have been due to one of the teams (in this case likely Everton) not having played enough games in that early time slot (per the UK TV contract) so this was a way to fix that. Shame though as this would have usually been one of the Sunday afternoon matches they would have had to get higher ratings.

I don't know why his lineup is questioned. He has 4 starters out injured
