HAHAHAHAHA! I'm sorry, your selection time slot?!?! If I had ordered tickets this year and reached the donor level required to keep my seats from last year, [East Balcony Rules!], I would be irate if I lost them because the ticketing office needs me to cancel work so I can go online to hold their hands.

I mean, I'm kinda irate anyhow, but sometimes that's just how I roll.
My agent said she can select for me if I’m busy. Just outline what you’re seeking, starting with your old seats.

For those who already have tickets, those seats already feel like the best seats in the section. Unless they're lousy seats, but who buys lousy season seats in a 25% full stadium?
Or maybe they’re attached to a big wad of chewing gum under the old favorite?

Thank you! I'm so glad they offer that option. I'm in a mood today and jumping to the grouchiest conclusions!

I am waiting for my agent to get back with me. Hope I can get my old seats back. Sec122 row 42. Good seats and nice people around us.

I started out that way, as I dug into the process it became apparent it’s actually pretty well-designed. My agent has always been very knowledgeable and responsive too.

I got my email yesterday too, with a seat selection date of 4/9. I'll be in Mexico, so debating on letting my rep select, or banking on being able to do it myself which I would prefer. I've been in 207, and would like to move down to 107.

Also, someone mentioned all the seats already selected, a partial answer for that is the red seats that are in the lower level in nearly all sections on the aisles in rows 24 and 25 aren't sold, but are reserved for accessible seating ticket exchanges. My son was injured last year and we had to utilize that option for several games last season, and those were the seats available for exchange.

Thanks for posting you received an email. I went and found mine in my junk folder. It says seating does not start until March 25th. I get to go on the 27th.

I wonder why section 102 is completely red? I know students sat in 101 a fair amount once the NEZ was full; but all of 102 and most of 103 being red is intriguing.

And there are some big red blocks within the green sections. Strange.

My speculation!

NEZ and 101= students
131= recruits and their families
109= visiting team fans
202, 208, 209 tops= promotions such as high school band day, teacher/nurse discounts?
102 and 103= mini 3 game ticket plans?
104 and 106 bottom= no idea

Glad you shared, as I have always been a fan of section 102 (close proximity to tunnel for team entrance, and catching the team after game behind the stadium in route to Smith Center)

Man why do we give an entire section (all the way down to the field) to visitors?

Is that a product of simply trying to sell more tickets when we were awful?

I’d love to see the first several rows opened back up to Illini fans. Push those visiting fans under the balcony…or on it.

I would love to never see a visiting band in that section again

Why are ANY seats (aside from the student section or an area designated for the visiting team) shown as red (unavailable) before March 25th? There are large blocks of seats already shown as red, and there are also some randomly red seats sprinkled around. Aren't the same rules being applied to everyone? Did some "preferred customers" get to skip the reseating process entirely?

The only thing that I could think of could be corporate contracts? I know they said that premium seating isn't affected so maybe if a corporate entity has a suit but also had in their agreement a block of normal seats as well. The other option I could think of would be seats that the University keeps for whatever reason.

Who knows? If they did get to skip the process, they didn’t get anything remotely resembling the best seats in their sections. I’d much rather take my chances reseating than accepting the few scattered seats that have been set aside (for whatever reasons).

I’m curious how the reseating process will work. My seat selection ranking is 2666 out of 6750 and my time slot is April 10. If the selections begin on March 25, that’s roughly 177 picks per day. Assuming the selection process cannot continue 24 hours a day and only runs during business hours (let’s say 12 hours per day) that’s about fifteen picks per hour; less than five minutes per pick.

I intend to be available at my appointed time but if something comes up that day and I miss my window what happens? Am I given random seat selection? Do I move to the end of the line? Seems like this process is open to having some disappointed and unhappy fans.

Your time slot will open on the 25th and you can pick any time AFTER it opens. You can buy as many tickets as you want. It's similar to getting your check-in slot letter/number on Southwest. It's just, the A-listers are in front of you. In this case, the I-listers :unsure: are in front of you so not everyone at picks at once. And you don't have to pound refresh over and over.

I also believe your Ifund rep can select your seats as well, just give them an idea of where you want to sit and how many tickets.

Per the video tutorial, you can log in at your appointed time or anytime afterwards. If you log in later, others may have made selections that may further limit your options. If you know you won't be available at your appointed time, some posts earlier in this thread indicated you can have your rep make selections for you based on your preferences.

i.e., what @fuddrules said

what about duking someone a few 20's to get a disney-like fast pass ?

I am open to expanding the number of tickets -- ummm, I'd 500 tickets for my friends and me. re: "You can buy as many tickets" - still requires the IFund contribution per ticket

I'll ask a different way. Overall experience for those in section 224 or 225 or SW side?
225 too close to the wall high up to see scoreboard in most of the rows. Like 224 way better.
