Former Illini in College Hoops

On Epps, I still maintain while both are talented, he and DGL are too small to pair together in a back court. And I still think DGL has the higher ceiling and at least thus far, seems more bought in on defense.

Changing the subject a bit… can it pretty much be assumed now that neither Adam Miller nor Andre Curbelo will be cleared to play this year?
As far as I can tell after doing some searching, both are still waiting for the NCAA to decide on their respective waivers. Neither played in their respective team's last game. The coach for each team has stated they are confident the waivers will be okayed but then that is probably coachspeak.

G-town barely bears Merrimack by two, Epps with 11 points in 13 minutes, all in the first half. Don’t know if he got hurt or just decided he didn’t want to go back in.

Louisville by 5 over mighty Bellarmine. Skyy with 21 points in 37 minutes. 3 assists to four TOs isn’t great, but doing his thing, putting up points for a terrible Louisville team.
Epps was hurt on a hard drive to the basket. Went to locker room and didn’t return. Haven’t seen anything specific about injury.

Saw that bad RJ showed up for Georgia on Tuesday after two solid games. He had 6 points on 2-10 shooting (0-7 from 3). He did have 7 rebounds though.

Hard to believe, but he’s shooting worse than last year — 36.4% overall and 11.4% from 3 thus far compared to season percentages last year of 37.6 and 26.4 respectively. Though he’s been coming off bench for awhile, being on a less talented team has allowed him to take 3 more shots a game, including 1 more from 3

Can he sit out a year or is he now out of elgibility?
Assuming he got a redshirt year his first season at LSU, he should have at least one year of eligibility left after sitting out this year.

Not sure if he may qualify for a 2nd extra year due to COVID or not.

Sorry folks, Adam Miller and any Illini connection was done and over with the moment he and his mother decided to move on...... He/She chose their path. It is what it is......
Weird take....There is still a connection because he played here.. started for a year. I know you are trying to say that you basically don't forgive them for leaving the beloved, but IMO....weird take.

I wonder if Wolf regrets his decision to x'fer to LSU, can you imagine a backcourt w/TSJ and a senior Wolf? I think Adam might of been a sure fire lottery puck had he stayed.

Whoooass, slow down there pardner. Sure fire lottery pick?
It’s a huge what if? He had a really solid freshman year on a great team. Who knows if he still tears his ACL. I think that injury ultimately derailed him and he never got back to what he was and certainly didn’t improve throughout the years.
