Illinois continues the Week 0 openers. In 2022 the Wyoming home game moved from Week 3 to Week 0, so Illinois can start the season at home and have a tuneup prior to the Week 1 game at Wisconsin.

I hate to say it but Illinois should not consider a game against Wyoming as a “tune up”. They are a solid team.

Weird question, has Illinois agreed to a yearly game with Mizzou for ~10 years starting in 2026? I remember seeing something about a 4 year contract but not ~10 year.

Yes they are. We should be, too. Seems like a good opportunity to me. And we should win games against Wyoming.

I like everything about the week 0 games except it needs to be at night. Players and fans will be dropping like flies if it’s a 90 degree day when we play Nebraska.
