People talk about who will be the best player on the Illini...IMO people aren't talking about Stojakovic enough. He could easily win B1G POY as well IMO if it comes to the Illini. I can see any of him, Coleman, Vaaks or Mirk.

Sounds awful and said Andre plays just like his dad. Lol not.. The D has to and will be better. Half the tick going to freshman and that wont be the case reg season. Other than Coleman I dont see anyone playing double digit minutes in tight games once Mirks back or even if he isnt.
Jakstys is solid on the glass and plays smart.
I am thinking that there is a significant probability that the staff might make a concerted effort to try to slow down Riley and Tejada in the second half.
And overall, considering that the frosh plus JJ played half the min. it was a decent start to the season. Hoping to see Riley held under double digits in the second half and some improvement in the rebounding stats.

really thought we would see more from Lincoln Williams today with the way the staff talked about him.
I have always felt comfortable with him getting some 5-10 min. this season. If he plays smart, rebounds and defends, he is quite valuable. It also seems that the staff feels the same way. They preferred his return over trying to find a Euro big.
I think POY will be tough, given the competition.
But the point overall, agreed. Last year was not only a transition from losing to winning teams, but also a dramatic pace adjustment. Us playing with any increased tempo, is Andrej at his best - but now, he’s an excellent halfcourt player (on both ends) as well. He could be a star
I stand by the kid didn’t get nearly enough credit last year.

Riley for UC looks really good but we are going to struggle against elite scoring guards this year
Going to be a dogfight for end of the rotation minutes, good situation to have

wow tons of turnovers, not playing our game at the moment.
Seems like we're getting careless with the ball now.
Playing a lot of new guys but 14 turnovers with 9 min left is a lot. I dont know if the key players are making them or not.
QC with some Andrej-esque tunnel vision drives. This is what Keaton was a savant about. Never dribbled into trouble. Played his advantages and took what the D gave him. I hope point of emphasis for QC will be figuring out how to solve defenses. You know he’ll naturally bring the rebounding and defensive energy.
