Tempting to be concerned, but I'm just not. This is a great learning experience, and it's evident that we aren't executing the offense (or the defense, for that matter) the way we're supposed to. They'll get coached up.
Mark Smith has been a double plus in this game, REALLY excited to watch him play this season.
I see a lot of the same concepts weve seen in the videos but it looks like we are running them at half speed on offense. Going to take awhile for the players to really get into them. If the offense is going to work gotta have hard cuts not just jogging.
We will see if Coach Underwood can get things turned around. A very listless performance from the Fighting(?) Illini tonight. Stopped playing with roughly 3 minutes left in the first half.
I was going to make a sarcastic comment about halftime adjustments, but serious question: does having a coach with such a set system limit the amount of halftime adjustments we will make? If so, is that a big problem against BIG coaches that simply doesn't exist at Stephen F Austin?
