One of the better 20 minute halves we’ve played this season from an effort standpoint. Some fouls / loose balls haven’t gone our way, but we’re +5 on shot attempts and leading by 3 despite shooting worse from the field than Indiana. That’s usually a recipe for success. Ty Rodgers has grown up unbelievably well. He was borderline unplayable in November, and now we’re comfortable going to him ISO in a late shot clock scenario. He does everything for us on both ends of the floor. He should start the 2nd half.

Let’s count how much we SHOULD be up by:

1. BS technical (2)
2. 3 missed layups (6)
3. Blantant missed foul on Sencire (let’s be honest, 0-1)
4. Missed call on Ty’s should have been rebound (2)

So all in all a missed 10 pts but I guess I’ll take up 3 in a hostile road environment.

Great resilience by the team after an absolutely inexcusable technical call that cancelled out a spectacular play and stole all the momentum. Where is the accountability for these referees?
Here's my take on technicals and I don't know if it's right or wrong or if this is what happened there. My guess is that there was a lot of talking back and forth (we couldn't see it on TV or heard what's being said), the referee told them both to cool it or else he'll ring them up and while not warranted from what we saw on TV...might have just been the final straw.

You know, when I heard Shannon was out, I wasn't super concerned. I'm not so in love with his half court offense and I think we've seen good half court offense so far without him. I love him on D and in transition.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want him gone or anything. This team is just deep with different skills.

If we could get some foul calls and make some lay ups, the game would be well in hand. Stoked that we have the lead. Have to keep up the intensity.

Hawkins and Dainja with 2 fouls each. UI 7 fouls, IU 5, but the difference maker is IU FT's 5-6 (that includes the 2 for the Tech), UI 2-2.
