Game Thread: Illinois at Indiana

We have had 9 players on the field all night.
I know this is Illinois loyalty, best message board ever, and I rank myself in top 10 percent of all-time loyal Illini fans going back to my years as a student in the early 90s....but I'm amazed there are still people watching this and posting here. You guys have me beat. I can only take so much.
Man... I wouldn’t want to be on the phone call between Josh and Olin tonight.
Well his teams are known to run the ball and dominate time of possession. Something we haven’t done today. The defense looks horrible but we are also giving them no chance
Come on, man… a huge win in a big bowl game, against an SEC team, to get 10 wins… and now that’s meaningless because we got our doors blown off on the road with a short-handed defense against a top-25 BIG team?
Nope. It’s a bad night. If this team somehow bounces back to go 10-2, the margin could even cost us the playoffs. But more likely, we’re an 8-9 win team if we get and stay healthy. And hopefully we get to beat another SEC team in a bowl game.

It doesn’t matter now, and I didn’t say it did. It just gets annoying when our fans need to couple a bad loss with their “woe is me” crutch persona, lol. Let’s not act like we’ve ALWAYS fallen short when we had the chance to take a step forward, because that’s not true.
It’s easier to do it when no one is expecting you to win, which is the position Illinois has been successful at. We have never been good when we’ve had expectations to win.
Their backups are gashing us for 12 yards a play. Disgusting.

We didn't even give that a thought tonight.
All curls is a terrible concept. Worse than the goal line fade.
I can accept losing. I can’t accept this. This is beyond horrible and unacceptable for the talent of players we have on the field.

We can still win 8 games. 8 or more wins in 3/4 years has never happened in our history and that would be a success.
Defense is exhausted. They couldn't stop a one legged man at this point.
Some fans just post here during the week because they like to hear their own “voice” lol. Some fans post here during games like this because this site is just a big living room to them.
