He's overcompensating for probably punching the desk when something bad happens. The world knows he's an Illinois guy and a beloved one at that. He bleeds O & B. This is a national broadcast and in an effort to be impartial, I think it goes a little far.

Bardo has always tried and mostly succeeded to be neutral, but has sometimes been a little "extra" for the other team when doing Illinois games.
Trent Frazier is such a warrior. He looked gassed coming off the court , but just keeps playing so hard on both ends of the court.
It's this, and also that fans always tend to think announcers are against them. I bet the anti-Bardo folks also tuned out when the other guy was salivating over Bohannon's defense on Trent, and Bardo pointed out that he actually got away with a foul. Fans only remember the stuff they disagree with

Says the guy who's at #8 in noting thought to be foul calls on Kofi? Lol. I kid you, obviously. Our fans are very passionate and stress. The refs and announcers are generally the brunt of the outbursts.

That was a really smart play by Trent. The guys on the floor looked gassed. Drive it to the rim and get to line. Chance at easy points and you can rest/get subs in.
We cannot be ranked with the best teams if we make stupid mistakes - too many turnovers. But happy that Kofi is finally getting fed.
