Maryland's remaining schedule is no joke though. They travel to Wisconsin and Rutgers next week. Then are home to Indiana and Northwestern. And finish the season at Penn State.
Illini played some fierce defense in that half.

It happened at MSU as well. It's not a ref issue. It's not being able to keeps guards out of the paint issue. It's an issue that's reared it's head over the last month. It's easy to blame the refs, it's reality to identify it as a problem.
Hopefully Brad mentions this as a motivator in the locker room right about now.

So Ty is +16 in 13 minutes this game. Luke is -7 in 6 minutes. Just sayin'.
I’d keep trapping young, make the rest of these guys beat us. They won’t.
Young and Reese are once again having a field day in the paint. Make them launch from outside as they are only 2/9 from three.
Need to start going under those screens. Maryland not a good shooting team. Underwood needs to adjust.
I like the blitzing of Young on pick and rolls. Don't like doubling Reece off of Young which they did a few times.
Maybe play some Guerrier on Reece for a few minutes and just let him blitz Young on the pnr without worrying about Hawkins picking up an early 3rd foul.

If we can establish defense to protect our rim, we’ll win by double digits … if not, we’ll play with fate and take our chances in another nail biter. Our choice!
One possible change is to start Guerrier on Reece and use him to trap then Coleman can rotate to Reese during the trap.
Winning this one is huge for us being able to maintain our hold on the 2 seed in the BTT. With Wisky losing in Iowa City, a win here would put us up 2 in the loss column on the Badgers, Northwestern, and Sparty with the Illini having 6 games left to play after today.
