How can Andrej come out this flat. Dude doesn’t even look like he wants to be there. Underwood constantly has teams that just don’t show up.

Marylands D is pretty good and prevents us from getting eaay baskets and rebounds when refs lets them shove, push and hold. Its kind of ridiculous how hard it is for our guys to move.

My goodness these officials aren't calling anything. Boswell needs to remember he is a beast going to the rim, not so much launching 3's. Mirk, 🤣 not dunking classic.

Body language is horrible right now from Andre.

He's been apartment shopping elsewhere for a while now seems like both sides are mutually done with each other

This is literally what coaching is … guys’ effort and focus is off. Find the right words and the right group of guys to fix it, Brad! Waiting for our superior talent to get it together isn’t a strategy … I could get paid to do that.

EDIT: Before crazies get on me from either side, I love Brad as our coach … but this is an area of his that bothers me every year. It comes off like, “These guys are semi-pros, they need to figure it out!”

We have no excuses at all. We have our full lineup. Maryland are decimated by injuries. We have everything to play for. They have only pride to play for. Yet we came out with a complete lack of focus, particularly on the defensive end of the floor.

Literally no adjustments from the Michigan game. This opening to the game imbues zero trust in this team.

What has happened to our rebounding?! Is Z secretly carrying some lower body injury? Has no power or presence on rebounds despite the length advantage.

I’ve lived in the DC area for 25 yrs. Idgaf how good Illinois is or isn’t, Md ALWAYS plays us tough. Even when they were still in the ACC and we’d play them in the BigTen/ACC challenge we’d always struggle against them. If you’ve paid attention to their history against one another this should not be surprising at all.

11 points halfway through the first half from the #1 offense.

I am very close to resuming my yardwork for the day. Pathetic.

Referees letting Maryland hold, tug and push. They better not call anything on Illinois when they start doing it.

Wagler needs to step up his game and play with a purpose offensively.

Weak effort right now. Maryland is punching them in the mouth and the Illini are apathetic.

Things better change fast, because the underdog will stay confident, get all the calls and pull off an upset.

Effort was there, strength is not. They're bullying him on the glass so far. Hoping Fletch can add 15lbs to his frame this offseason
Now, that could be true. Didn't look like he went up with both hands any of those times, then throwing up a step back threw definitely isn't a great start. I do agree that he needs to put some weight on.
