I’m not going to over react yet…but the effort and rebounding these last few games are awful. We’re being out hustled by an 11 win team. We need go figure things out…and QUICK for this postseason run.

Tomi should have had a defensive rebound on the play just before TO. he is unbelievable soft and a poor rebounder. As much as I like big Z- he's not a very good rebounder either. An Achilles heel of this team is defensive rebounding along with the much more talked about lack of foot speed everywhere but KB, KW and sometime Ben and Jake and even Mirk can do a passable job.
Illinois might be cooked. A game like this against anyone in the Quarters of the Big 10 tournament or 2nd round of the big one will get you beat. Defense has been Blah, Keaton has been Blah, Dre on defense has been blah. Hard to even tell if Bam is out there. It has been Mirk and a lot of mid

Outrebounded by Maryland really tells you all you need to know. Lack of pride, lack of effort, lack of motivation. Hard to fathom from the supposed #11 team on March freakin 8th.
Playing for a 2 seed, by itself, doesn't make it a devastating loss. That's just a big picture thing. I'm disappointed by the effort and urgency from the start. Maryland got confidence and confidence can be a crazy drug in sports.
