At this point, we likely must expend all effort on every play like Illini lives are in the balance. They are obviously immune to a cold spell shooting today.

BS. This is an older team with professional history. They need to be better. They're in control of their effort. They're collecting BIG paychecks. This is a players game and ours got punched in the mouth and have had minimal pride. No sugarcoating it.
What used to be traveling just isnt anymore and it is just so hard to stay on strong quick shifty guards when they can shuffle like they are allowed to nowdays. Both these Maryland guards do it well. Wouldve been traveling 10 years ago.
Seems like everyone is gassed. This is all to familiar to me from past seasons. Every year we start out saying how deep we are and how we will struggle to give everyone enough minutes and then Brad loses trust in guys and we end up with a 7 man rotation.
Wagler has gotten beaten on for a lot of minutes in a lot of games this year, he’s not exactly built like a tank. I’m sure he's worn down a bit from carrying our team while KB was out and we refused to expand our rotation.

They are getting the benefit of calls for being the more aggressive team. Happens often. Need to quit messing around and play like we want to actually win.
I remember watching a video within the past several days where Underwood mentioned, in addition to other things, that a key reason for the struggles the past month has been incorrectly scouting the opposing teams. The fact that he acknowledged that gave me hope that he was gonna change things up a bit to get us back to that monster of a team we were until February, but if THIS is the result of the adjustments he's made, I'd hate to see what the score of this game would be had he stuck to how things were going...
Without Mirk giving us his best, the Terps would be burying us by double digits today. Anyone else concerned about our recent inability to win close games down the stretch? A Quad 3 loss today would bump us off the 2 seed line. We need to start a rally, stop Mills even if we have to double him, and somehow get out of here with a win.
