Lunney is getting too cute with the play calls.
Game Thread: Illinois at Maryland

He has a tremendous amount of drops this year.. Platt should be in there getting these reps
game might be slipping away here, dang it
Starting to feel like “next score wins”.
I’d also like to remind everyone this is a Maryland defense that has given up 33 points per game. Close to last in the big ten for overall defense rankings. This is disappointing to say the least
I wish Resetich was this proactive at fielding balls punted to him. I think he’s fielded more balls to stop them from rolling for the opponent today than he has as a returner all season
thank goodness MD ran their 3 worst plays there
Defense has held it out.
Receivers just need to catch the ball.

MD is perfectly happy pinning us back given our lack of offense. They're in the "just don't turn it over" mode.

Such a great defensive possession there.
This offense has to do something RIGHT HERE!! If not, it's ball game.
Bailey is the only person I feel confident that the defender will be tackled and not gain 5 yards after the initial hit.
Maryland has gotten away with a ridiculous number of holds today
Game on line ,c'mon O
ok, moving the ball a little. That’s a welcome sight.

New coach bounce plus Illinois is in a let down spot. All 3 teams who fired their coaches last week doing well today or big win yesterday

The refs are absolutely refusing to throw a live ball flag against anybody
What is going on work our kicker on kick offs? He was putting into the end zone regularly, but today I don't know if he has put in the end zone once?
I was worried Maryland would be playing out of their minds after the firing. Not quite at that point but they do look competent now
