Game Thread: Illinois at Michigan State

Tonight reminds me of when Lon's teams would get out-toughed, out muscled, out-quicked against MSU. MSU just stronger, quicker, getting all the loose balls, offensive rebounds, contesting everything on defense.
Their length is hurting us. They are collapsing on our 2 best players, and the subsequent decision making is playing right into MSUs hands.

For some reason this team can't string together good performances. Early exit from the BTT might be the best thing for this team. If we win the thing I worry we'll get bounced in the first round of the Tourney
Officiating has been bad, but can’t blame this game on that.

I think we're playing like a team that has dug themselves a hole in multiple games. This is one that they can't get themselves out of.

You are correct...furthermore, if you are going to compete for a title, you have to deal with games like this. This is why championships are so tough to win. Good teams find a way to adjust.
Henry led with his forearm the entire way
When you are a very talented team you can perform poorly and still win. I.e Nebraska. Likewise, you can play well and lose. A lot of people on here did not think the Baylor game was a negative for example.
