Game Thread: Illinois at Michigan State

[BrownTown]

Clayton has a rocket arm.

[fatt lacosse]

White knuckles

[PopChampaign]

Good Sh%*!!! Let’s go! Clayton getting some Love!

[BZuppke]

Clayton got that in so fast to make that work.

[C_Mac]

The Michael Clayton II game.

How about that Freshman?! No fear.

[Illinois_2_AZ]

That was the most important drive of the whole season, under very adverse conditions!!! I L L

[BZuppke]

What a drive

Perhaps season saving.

[MaineIllini]

Anyone have Clayton throwing a TD pass today?

[ChiTown]

We may have found our future QB.

[phats22]

if only we'd started Clayton and spent more money on defense....(i kid, kind of)

[CDRUSN]

Coach B and Lunney are playing three card monte with the qb play. MSU is as confused as I am, and that's in our favor.

[Peteronthespot]

A star is born.

[NarrowJ]

Huge response by *checks notes* Michael Clayton

[Carter Waller]

Barnett still sitting strategically.

[king dad runnerup]

Mental weakness? Not so fast.

[Altgeld's Bells]

Aww. Coach Art there to meet Clayton at the sideline with a big hug.

[BWBW]

Get a stop, guys.

From now on I shall refer to the young men as MC.

[From the cheap seats]

Tell you what, that TD throw was better than it originally looked. Fit it in a pretty tight spot.

[Mr. Roberts]

No more shoullder tackles. Wrap them up.

lol Dan way too fastidious for that

Edit: Thanks for everything you do, Dan!

[Jon]

"they're taking what Illinois giving them right now." Yeah, cuz we're giving them an uncontested 8 yard dump off every time

[TheodoreRex]

Anyone else notice that almost every time we tackle, the offense is able to lean forward for an extra 1-2 yards. We rarely stop them in their tracks or drive them back.
