Game Thread: Illinois at Michigan State

[Witherspoon_illini]

This was the worst offense in the big ten btw

[Oracle21]

There’s no hope for this defense

[skyIdub]

WOW! MSU just can’t get out of their own way

Illinois defense - "How may we be of assistance?"

[kyillinifan]

You have throw the kitchen sink at him on 4th

[fatt lacosse]

Time to field a kickoff.

Please dear jesusgod in heaven

[thehass]

We are going to have to put up some more points or it could be overtime city

[AssemblyHallForever]

I have no idea what happened to Xavier Scott. He's lost all the time now.

X needs to sit.

[BWBW]

We need a 7 minute drive and at least a field goal.

[ChiTown]

None of our opponents should punt. Ever. We give it to them every time.

At least we’re consistent on that front.

[Battle89]

Lucky on 3rd down.

And with the self-inflicted penalty before 4th.

And we give up an easy 4th & 6...

Edit after the TD: So easy. Just terrible.

Honestly felt better when it was fourth and short. We just suck on anything longer.

[Retro62]

You have a freshman QB coming in and doing the job, and our defense just can’t get it right.

[thehass]

We make everyone look better than they are.

It's a gift

[ohioillini77]

Defensive technique is so bad. Footwork, positioning, tackling. Must clean house on all defensive coaches.

[Sheldon Ram]

Let’s rush 3 We are getting such great pressure. When you can’t cover you have to take risks

[DrMac210]

I have no idea what happened to Xavier Scott. He's lost all the time now.

Looked like they were in zone and X had the flat, and for some reason Juice went toward the WR that was already double covered, leaving the other guy WIDE open for the TD.

[Tyrone HoggLegg]

[Battle89]

Man, our defense is just pathetic.

The cure for what ails our opponents

[From the cheap seats]

Not sure I’ve ever seen so many DBs get turned around. It’s dizzying.

[fatt lacosse]

Barry deliver us from a hideous result please I beg of you

[Qwiksilvur]

I have no idea what happened to Xavier Scott. He's lost all the time now.

Probably because whatever defense we are running makes no sense

[Illini in Italy]

“Toast Too” Clarke gets burned again . . .

[LouHenson]

Just so Illinois

[fatt lacosse]

I’m gonna have an actual aneurysm

[aaeismacgychel]

You’ve gotta be kidding me

[FloridaMan]

The incompetence continues......

Teams just clowning our staff at this point, penalty notwithstanding.
