Having BBV in protocol is tough because you ride with Payne as Kofi’s backup no matter what. I’ll say Payne had a great close off that allowed Plummer to get a lay-up, but defense is left to be desired. I’m glad Coleman has really improved, because he’s proving he can play some 5 as well.
At least he didn't threaten to killl anyone this time, or say he's from the south side.

Not sure if anyone heard Brad Underwood on the Score this week, but he gave the best defense I've heard yet on the handshake line. Just so well said and Brad was so spot on on all his points on keeping it and if you get your butt kicked you shake the opponents hand after, etc. Great stuff. Mully and David Haugh after Brad got off the interview both gave Underwood major props for his take. Was a really positive IMO for perception of Illini program and athletics

human being .................there is zero defense of Mr. Coward's actions and for anyone to try to defend him brings their credibilty into question....
Birds of a feather flock together......Coward was dirty as a flub 5 scUMmer and he is a thug as a coach ....2 times in 2 years threatening other coaches would not be tolerated if Delany was still B1G commish......

We are small overall and can’t contest shots like other teams can. That’s part of the equation but an important one

Very first reaction is that his coaching at Florida was either not good or he didn't take to it. HIs bball IQ is not real good, possibly adjusting to new system as well. Hopefully next year, things slow down for him and he increases his skillset beyond lobs and dunks.

Thinking our Illini have outplayed Mich in this game is fool's gold. Mich has more boards, steals, blocks, and assists and is shooting a respectable 47%. We have Plummer. The only truly bright spot other than his career performance is the Illini have 4....that is right....FOUR....turnovers for the half. Knowing what we know about this team, I would only feel good if I were Michigan. Kofi can be the big plus in the second half as he had a pretty quiet first half though not weak. Keep moving the ball quickly, play defense hard, and keep the turnovers in single digits for the game and it will be a win.
Over/under for Plummer in 2nd half. I'll set it at 6
IMO just another symptom of the times we are in. Nobody tells the truth or how they really feel, only what they think others want to hear. Unfortunate.
