First game I get to watch 100% live in some time. I hope it's rewarding.

@Fighter of the Nightman I HATE the relatively arbitrary nature of what games are available on YouTube! Our only full 2005 regular season games available, for example, are Wake Forest (makes sense), Oregon at the United Center and at Purdue. So many other great ones that should be up there. Our 2005 game at Iowa where over 4,000 Illini fans and the Krush took over Carver-Hawkeye Arena (I was there!) was on YouTube for a hot minute and got taken down ... I have still never seen a respectable basketball arena/fan base get that embarrassed by so many visiting fans!

Oh yeah, that was hilarious. I remember a good amount of them were "undercover" until game time 🤪 There was also a fan that showed up at most of the games. I think he was like an Illini Chef LOL

I used to do this a lot more, but I thought it would be fun to post the series history vs. Michigan:

All-Time: Illini lead 93-85
Current Streak: Illini W6 in a row
Longest Streak: Illini W11 in a row (2000 to 2006)
Last 10: Illini lead 6-4 (i.e., we were on a 4-game losing streak before 2019-20!)
Since 2000 Season: Illini lead 25-19
In Ann Arbor, MI: Michigan leads 52-32 (actually not terrible for a B1G road record!)
In Champaign, IL: Illini lead 59-28

We have a couple of nice streaks to keep alive this year. A winning streak vs. Wisconsin, the fact Rutgers has never won in Champaign, etc. But this one is by far the best to keep alive for me, just because beating Juwan is so funny. Let's do this!

Expecting a win. Have to.
Bolded for extreme emphasis. These two scenarios are epically different heading into the weekend:

(A) 13-4 (4-3) with a second Big Ten road win under our belt, a home game coming up that we SHOULD win vs. Rutgers and an outside chance at creeping back closer to the top 10 if we also win Sunday and some other teams lose.

(B) 12-5 (3-3) with a second straight disappointing loss in a game where you'd think pride ALONE could have willed us to victory, likely no better than #20 in the polls and all momentum after dominating Northwestern pretty much gone.

We. Have. To. Win. And I think we will!!

I'm starting to get legit nervous about Amani as he has been out 2 weeks now. Back spasms are no joke and can certainly linger, but for a 19 year old having them last this long is worrisome. And once you start having back spasms, they have a nasty way of becoming a recurring issue. Any concerns from the insiders? Hoping for a fast and complete recovery
