Great first half effort. Seems the coaches used the bye week well. Get the players motivated and they seem prepared. Few penalties and mistakes.

First half shocker. Wow.

It's early, and there's lots of football left today, but I feel like this is the kind of mid-season adjustment that our previous coaching staffs just did not have in them. So many personnel and scheme changes today, and it's &#@%! working. Amazing.

A lead at the half. I am shocked. I thought the game would get out of hand quickly after that first drive.

Get the ball to start the 2nd and score. I didn't think we'd be remotely competitive, but the offense is moving the ball. McGee made some nice adjustments after the WMU debacle.

The secondary has been awful but the line has been okay. Hopefully they can force Armstrong to make more mistakes.

The first half of play I've been happy with in a long time. We have a shot at this. The guys should be pumped at the opportunity they have.

Illinois better be ready for the coming 2nd half shot storm coming. Need to have a long drive and keep the defense off the field.

So we now have a more or less professional coaching staff. At the professional level, player evaluations and re-evaluations are made every second of the season, and changes are made based on those. We are seeing that here, and the players are listening and responding. Good to see.

Nebraska has been able to down field at will. Westerkamp in the slot will be lethal whenever they want to go for it. Coverage has to lock down and DE's have to stay disciplined against the onslaught of read-option that's coming.
