Kofi missed some shots from point blank range. Our guards need to move and share the ball. Trent seems to force it a few times. We need to win these first 4 minutes and grab a lead.
Make the "strengthens-the-immune-system" argument delivered with professorial certainty. They wouldn't complain, but my wife would.
Yes, but they also took OSU to OT when they played them at home. We may not be so lucky given out propensity to play down to our competition.
We need to get the ball to him when he's 6' or under from the basket at good angles. We've been getting it to him in middle of paint and he's having to think too much. 1. Is a double coming. 2. Is someone open. 3. Go left or rightThey are pretty much going 1 0n 1 with Kofi and he has missed a lot of close ones. Meanwhile, their perimeter ball pressure on our guards has been outstanding. We need some adjustments in the 2nd half or we will not be in the Top 25 for long.
I though that article was going to have a twist. If it did, I missed it. Seemed like the gist was St. Thomas was going to show up and win the game for us.I blame Rob for writing an article talking about how this game will be a boring cakewalk and clearly not knocking on wood.
What I really like about your son's maturation to college ball is coming from being a high octane HS scorer to really buying in on the defensive end....He will get his points , I'm sure , but has to show BU he is willing to learn how to defend first....it show's he has bought into the concept and he will benefit with more tick throughout the rest of the season.....You should be very proud of your son and his progress in a P5 environment.....Thank you,
He turned off the faucet on number 30 from draining threes anymore
These days I'm hoping that it's a trip to Mr. Frazier's (or Mr. Williams') woodshed and BU just sits there all:We have been good coming out of halftime and playing with intensity and purpose. A trip to Mr. Underwood's woodshed will hopefully get the Illini refocused and playing to their potential instead of down to the level of the competition.
But they're allowed to. The Huskers should be able to shoot 55% and still lose by double digits. Not that I have much useful to add, but the focus should be on our guys.Nebraska won't shoot 55 percent from three in the second half
Not sure I would describe Kofi as having missed "several". He is 4 for 7 and was likely fouled on 2 of the 3 he missed. They are going 1 on 1 with Kofi so far and it is paying dividends. Kofi has missed severall close range shots now and their perimeter defense has been outstanding. This game will probably go down to the wire. For a 25% 3 pt shooting team they are doing pretty well.
I don't think he feels 100%. He just isn't moving like a D1 baller.I am wondering what is up with Gradison, have not been impressed with his play the last few games. He had a nice layup, but he lost his man on defense again. And he loses every physical confrontation with the ball and said physicality seems to mentally take him out of his game. Maybe time to get some other guys some tick until he gets his head right
And then he gets hacked with no foul until even the refs are too embarrassed not to call one.Kofi needs to take advantage of the single coverage better. He’s being a little too patient to feel out the defender and they collapse on him. Quick drop step here and there will just seal for a dunk.
