For the first time the season I have hedged my emotions and placed a bet on Nebraska ML. I have been awful at gambling the last 3-4 months so let’s hope it continues 😂

FWIW, I had some great personal trips (Illini-related and otherwise) during '25. A two-day swing through the Flint Hills in Eastern Kansas in early October, before spending the weekend with friends in KC, was a highlight. It's the last large preserved stretch of tallgrass prairie in the U.S. Breathtaking. It's what Champaign looked like before the settlers moved in and cleared/drained the land for planting.

Here's the sunset on October 1st, for some good Kansan/Waglerian/Great Plains ju-ju in Lincoln later this afternoon.
