I was just logging on to say the same thing. It was beyond ridiculous for him to miss this in the first place because of the game this week (Fitzgerald among others didn't), and the results are just making it look even worse.

Logic aside around a 5-7 game including 3 ghosty OOC games - Lovie does not display the passion that Josh does for Illini FB. Won't work on that alone going forward.

I know we‘re missing a lot on D today, and I know probably would’ve beat Purdue if we weren’t down to the #4 QB. But really, we’ve only looked good one game this season (Nebraska) - and that’s not acceptable for a 5th year coach. This program just doesn’t pass the eye test. I hate starting over, but I think it’s time.

He looked like the better QB last week too. Peters was misfiring like crazy and they waited until the game was out of reach to give IW a chance. More brilliance from this coaching staff

Yep, once again let's keep doing what's not working over and over and over until the game is out of reach. I'm so sick of this crap, yet I continue to watch every damn minute.

You make good point. Football is the money maker, and it used to be that you needed some success to get fans into the stadium. These days with BTN TV money and the bowl $$ sharing , maybe the money is self-sustaining even when you keep losing. I honestly don’t know the math on this.

Yep Big 10 network money has put the athletic dept in the green regardless of butts in the seats. So no imperative to make coaching changes. Revenue sharing really eliminated the necessity to win by bottom feeder teams. See it in baseball all the time with teams like the Marlins.

You can boycott IFUND and boycott games but those are drops in the bucket compared to TV $$$.
