Grandison and Hawkins have been horrible today offensively. The two of them have 5 points total in the half. Those two guys can't go cold or we lose. Trent is going to Trent. Plummer can't always save us.

I didn't recognize any of the refs but they are on my s**t list now .....how was that foul on Young not a shooting foul ???
Why didn't the refs recognize the shot clock violation ?????
BTW , the worst radio feed I have ever experienced .....The regular feed is repeating every 5-10 seconds and can't sync at all , but I will not listen to Bardo ....
R J had a good half and hope he gets minutes in the second half...........Trent looks fatigued ................Kofi needs to be fed more in second half....

Glass half full, our defense did look really good that half, and I think we got a few unlucky calls / bounces. Felt like we had a lot of solid looks not falling whereas we really forced them into low-quality looks in the half court. Live ball turnovers leading to transition runs will bury us, if anything.
Or Grandison leading in steals and DMW leading in rebounds (not to mention both have 2 assists) are key reasons why NW scored only 19 points in first half.
When teams know each other I expect less scoring. What I don't expect and is not usually the case is Trent missing 2 point blank lay ups.
Plus it's odd both Goode and Melendez slip and fall in the same spot in about 80 seconds. I am glad we are ahead but I feel like it should be 14 or so

Grandison and DMFW have done and continue to do a lot things to help us win games, but I am not sure we can have both of them on the floor at the same time when JG struggles offensively.
Also, WTF about not calling obvious shooting fouls for the Illini. I thought Kofi's missed and 1 was bad, then Trent's took the prize.

19 points is great. But when you only score 24 against a 2-7 in conference team, you sort of lose the effect.
RJ is a gamer. Strikes me as even keel who will do ok in the big moments. Like the big line up of RG with Kofi, Grandy, and CoHawk.
We don't have a back up PG? Trent is a pure SG. What about Podz? At this point, I'd give him a chance even though he's really raw. See what the fresh can do.
Teams kind of in a shooting slump lately. We will snap out of it.

RJ doesn’t have the typical freshman fear of making a mistake - he just goes after it from the moment he checks in.
Trent has been one of the best point guards in America this year. Odd take.
