Right. Who wants primetime coverage that goes up against maybe one other game?

We had the opportunity to do it, but we choked, no one else to blame for this and i don't feel sorry Illinois because they had their shot and blew it. Why are people gettin so worked up by this? Chase is not very healthy either, and i would hate for him to hurt his ankle even worse before the bowl game. If we would have taken care of business, then it would be one thing, but we didn't. Im not gong to be upset about Purdue winning.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the Big Ten channel picked 2 high school interns at random to call this game. At this point, the Ball State basketball announcer who kept repeating "Boom goes the dynamite!" when the ball went through the hoop would be a decided upgrade.

Guys , we lost to Purdue, we don't deserve to be in the Championship game. Lets finish this up and then get healthy for the Bowl game. This might be better not to play next week, so we can get more rest.

I will never not think this sentiment is crazy. There is plenty of gap between that game and the relevant bowl games, plus it's the flipping conference championship game. There's a nonzero chance we could win it if we actually made it!

Maybe... MAYBE I would agree if we were trying to sneak into the playoff.

8-4, a decent bowl game and establishing an identity make 2022 an excellent season for Illini football.
