Game Thread: Illinois at Ohio State

[Illini-Rule]

OSU with 6 3 pointers. Have to slow that down

A couple of them with one of our guys all over them. That shouldn't keep happening.

By the way, Dick Vitale used to be entertaining (sort of). Now, even though he loves the Illini, I find him more tedious and obnoxious. Sure, he knows college basketball (and obviously CBB history) way better than I do, but he just annoys me. Stories that are completely irrelevant and not particularly interesting. Talk about the game you are announcing, PLEASE!

I'd wager an adult beverage that he mentions Bob Knight at least once before this game is over.

Seriously tired of ESPN switching stations. I was starting the game late hoping my recording would work. Nope. Missed first ten Minutes AGAIN! We have the technology why cant they figure this out.

Dickie needed to adjust his game as he aged...it’s like an annoying child actor repeating his catch line from the old show. He should mellow and show his smarts...like Jordan’s fade away.

Miller, Trent, and DMW with a combined total of 2 points. One of them will come alive to help out AYO, Belo, and Kofi. A couple 3 pointers will go along way.

I'm not sure if I'm happy that we shot 62% or unhappy that we shot 62% and are only up 4.

Part of the reason we're shooting that well is that we're getting easy looks. That bodes well.

So far no "Diaper Dandy" or "Unbelievable" but we have a full half of hoops to go.

I am almost sure I heard special at least 4 times in one story. I think your counter only has 2 digits and it was 104

11 threes against us last game. Huge reason they beat us. Address this and the offensive boards were giving up and I think we’re good

Check out what time our game ends. It'll be after 5PM and UNC/Duke will have the same issues. They try to jam these games into two hours and the last 2 minutes of the game alone takes 15 minutes.

Kofi with only 2 rebounds in the first half. Maybe he can come out and dominate in the 2nd half like he has numerous times. We also get Trent back so maybe we get a few 3's to fall. OSU can't stay this hot from 3!!!

I've noticed 3-4 times that the OSU bigs are REALLY blocking him out well. To Kofi's credit he has always avoided going over the back.

I don’t know if it was statistically Belo’s best half, but for me that was his best half of the year. Made a few bad plays/decisions, but very few instances did he get ahead of himself or seem rushed.

Overall the team’s energy seemed a little low. Not in an effort way but more like having a workman-like attitude. Would like to see them ratchet energy up some in second half — and keep feeding Kofi.

We need a few 3's to loosen up the triple teams on Kofi or he has to pass out of the triple team
