I mean, I'm pissed... but in no way am I surprised

Yeah I guess I'm not either. Each one of these losses is just becoming more annoying, and continues to push me further and further on the "fire groce" side of the fence.

This is ridiculous. There can't be any Groce sympathizers anymore, can there? Absolutely no excuse to get pummeled on the road like we do. I know PSU is improved but this is beyond embarrassing. I stopped watching about 7 minutes into the first half, that's how bad we are. Groce must be fired at the end of this season.

I don't think there are any at this point. I listen a lot to the post-game radio shows and Tay and Jay shows and I don't hear the same optimism or "let's give him some more time" like we've heard in the last couple of years. Everyone knows what's going on and knows the writing is on the wall. Groce still doesn't have a set rotation and it is almost February.

Hint for Groce: Finke/Nichols/Abrams and very little doses of Tate and basically Thorne should be benched like he has benched DJW b/c Thorne is literally adding nothing. Not his fault, the knee injury took a lot out of him, but start adapting and stop playing your seniors b/c they are seniors. Play the men who give you the best chance to win.

EVERYTHING about this game is bad for us. Offense is non-existent. Defense is as bad as ever seen in college basketball. Rebounding is bleh. Still can't inbound the ball effectively.

Penn State isn't even playing D on our PG's. They are just playing 5-on-4 on defense and we can't do anything about it.

We all know Gross is completely incapable of making a half-time adjustment so we are either going to lose by 30+ or Malcom will hero-ball us to a 15-point loss.
Excetly what he said. Seriously, you nailed it.

The sad part is I'm not even pissed. I kind of expected this. Not down by 20 at half, but to lose on the road to a crappy team was fully expected.

illinois doesn't deserve to have their games announced. hell they don't deserve to be televised. this is a joke. i am pissed off.

Don't know how old you are, but in the early '80s, NBC was stuck broadcasting a lousy late season Jets-Dolphins game. With very little interest among fans, they came up with the gimmick of broadcasting the game with no announcers. It became a huge story and a ton of people watched (including me) at least some of the game to see what it was like. I think I'd prefer that today.

We lack athleticism and overall talent, but we have some good shooters and plenty of size. If we played with consistent effort and solid fundamentals, we would be a decent Big Ten team, especially in a down year like this. There's no excuse for the lackadaisical defense, lazy passes, and general passivity. It's gotten to a point of comical predictability. What a mess.

No one can take his man. not 1 guy. Absolutely no effort or toughness at all

How about some AJ at the two? At least he tries to play defense and his offense can't be worse than JCL today.

All in favor of turning this into a Olive Garden discussion thread...

Mav started well, ended the half terrible.
I don't understand how we can't get a good shot for JCL. His shot is so pure most days, but we can't even get him a good look?

Make that Olive Garden lasagna with gorgonzola because this is stinky.
