This is not all on coach.

I am sure he is coaching the team to play energized defense, they are not.
I am sure he coaching them to position themselves / block out for rebounds, they are not.
I am sure he is coaching them to run the offense/ not play hero ball, they are not.

John Groce is not a good coach. I'm sorry. Look at the results he's produced collectively over the past 5 seasons. This isn't a knee jerk reaction to a bad season. It's time to move on.

I disagree on point three. He encourages 1 on 1 ball.

Kipper showing more of his potential as he mixes it up more. A streeter baller for sure.

Always seem to have 2 thoughts when watching Groce's teams:

1) after mistake made (defensive lapse, poor offensive sequence....) players don't know what they were supposed to have done and not explained to them by the staff

2) really don't think we practice hard (always look lost during times when speed/intensity turned up by other team)

Hill, Kipper, TJL, Black and Mav. That is who I want out there now.

Good D by Mav and MH, forcing a timeout on the baseline.
Little late, but its something

So frustrating that the energy finally kicks in. How hard is it to teach/understand this is the way you need to play from the tip on the road?

Anybody remember that picture of AJ and DJW with them on the couch sitting in front of a trophy (final four I think?) they have to be thinking back to that and thinking how big of a joke it was

I will say that the defense has ratcheted up a notch or two this half. But why does it have to take a coach scolding you in the locker room to play better on that end of the court? I echo many people's sentiments that we have a soft team.
