I get it. But once they put 8 and 9 in the box, how do you control the ball gaining 1-2 yards a play? That's asking for 3 and outs and an exhausted defense. They need to keep running when they split out some receivers, along with the 7 linemen look. No more play action!

Not being on the field all the time has to have helped our defense.

Me neither, but I think it opens up the LB blitzes. If once in a while you only send 3, it adds more options for "who to send" in a blitz. the problem is that we go from great blitzing pressure to absolutely NO pressure with our three-man fronts.

Down 10-7 near the end of 3 quarters with three turnovers in State College?!? I'll take take that. We are playing very hard with the number 7 team in the country. If this carries over we should pick off some teams in the future this season. I-L-L...I-N-I !!!!!

You know, I am really enjoying this but I also find it absolutely remarkable that the number 7 team in the nation is completely incapable of holding us to less than 6.5 yards per carry when they know that a run is coming every play.

Are we really this good? Has the offensive line we were promised finally arrived?
