Game Thread: Illinois at Penn State

Good stiff defensive stand to end the half. Tied game at halftime and we left points on the board. We're right where we need to be. Gotta keep putting pressure on and whoever clutches this out will win it.

The BS is evening out. Penn State was running it down our throats but punted on a 4th and 1 and then later called 2 passing plays leading to their missed FG. Both teams have a lot to be frustrated about.

It's not going to be easy obviously but love how we are right in this game.

Continues to impress me how much better of a coach Bielema is than anyone we've had in at least 35 years.

We are tied 7-7 at half as 18 point underdogs. Much better than how Georgia is performing in Tuscaloosa.

Stay within one possession of PSU going into the 4th, and all the pressure flips to Penn State.

Another solid half in national prime time. Let's make it another!

This is a winnable game. I'm surprised at the poor play calling from Penn State, but I appreciate it. Both teams have had some breaks. Whoever gets a Turnover or two may take this one. Please let it be us.....

I like to be the "remember where the bar is set" guy for Illinois football, but that was such a weird half I'm having a hard time getting it through my head that we're tied at halftime with a top 10 team on the road.

If we force Penn State into a situation where they will have to throw I like our chances. Unfortunately I’m expecting an even heavier dose of their run game this half

IMHO our D came out of it's shell after our O went into one. D needs to stay out and O needs to come out. Game is ours to take.

Pretty good first half, wish you could have gotten some points at the end tho, that was a tough sequence.
