I mean win this game is for all of us: the team and coaches, Dick, Red, George Halas, me, you, my dad and everyone who loves Illini orange and blue, the history, etc. Just fight Illini.

We are a team of destiny. We will win. It will be a bumpy 2nd half, but the ball is going to bounce our way. Trust what Bret has put in place. LFG!

Haven’t been following the game thread am
I insane that if the receiver falls down after the throw it shouldn’t be grounding?
It would have been nice for the announcers to inform us of the rules. He fell right in front of the ref

we need a 3 and out by psu starting the second half......then we need to run some more slant routes over the middle with Z. Franklin to open up Pat Bryant for a long TD pass........

let Valentine do some sweep runs and outrun them nittany slowfooted defensive players..........The second half will show what team is better conditioned and I think we are .......Hoping Allar throws a couple INT's this half.......

One…… running that bad snap play from the shotgun.

Two…. not running on 3rd down to run the clock down.
Ok, if the snap is clean and LA makes the proper read(he has all game long)and we score, there's no negative comment. If they get stoned for no gain, there's no negative comment. 2nd and goal from the 15 is a lot different than 2nd and goal from the 4. The play action is still in play, running between the tackles is still in play....Lunney had the whole playbook to play with.

You don't get away from what the offense is, which is a lot of read option. Kreutz made a horrific play, which happens. The two false starts to follow are unacceptable.

Play calling? If Kreutz doesn't snap the ball into the third deck, we're probably up 14-7. That put 3/4 of the playbook in the trash. Combine that with two false starts and a missed field goal...not sure where you take issue with the coaches?
First job of the center is to get the ball in the qb’s hands. That said, my play call would have been seeing whether we could move the pile like we did for the first down.
