I told my folks that we might be in the unique situation today of hoping that the football team helps ease the sting of a bad basketball loss. One can always hope!

Doug Kramer being out is a major loss. The OL is so much better with him at Center.

Somebody needs to teach green how to tackle...he likes to fly into people..never wraps up

That was some really terrible "tackling". This game could get out of hand very quickly.

Why do we always go in for a "big hit" and the runner just bounces off, for the love of god wrap them up! This happens in the NFL too and it drives me crazy.

I think they're going for a strip first and a tackle second, so they aren't thinking wrapping up when contact is being made.

So far we're looking better than last week.

Purdue is, arguably, one of the few teams in a BCS conference we could look good against. But I'm encouraged with the flow of the offense given all the injuries.

You're right. Seems like they don't even teach tackling anymore. Last week, I don't remember which game it was (not ours), but the defender was so focused on trying to strip the ball, him and the ball carrier ran another 10 yards down field before two other defenders arrived and got the ball carrier to the ground.
