Can't help but wonder if we'd be up 2 if Trent took that open three ... anyway, down 1 at the half in a very tough venue with no AG or Giorgi for most of the first half? It could be so much worse. With that said, I feel this game might be decided in the first five minutes of this second half. We HAVE to come out with good intensity and hopefully give ourselves some cushion. The crowd will be a lot to deal with down the stretch if this is a neck and neck game. We have overcome that before, but road life is just tough; I want to be withstanding Purdue's furious comeback attempt at the under 4 mark, not trading baskets. Let's go out, play our game and see what happens.

If they keep up this level of play next half, I'll be pleased win or lose. Non-contenders don't hang around too long at Mackey.

It's going to be tough for TF. After he hit that third one, Haarms is in his face after every ball screen.

Regardless win or lose, if I were Underwood, the post game conference would be myself and Griffin. BU there to support his player, but his player publicly apologizing and owning up to actions that are not necassary and cannot be condoned. BU should also have Griffin personally apologize to Septanvic (sp) before going into post game conference as well as Painter also.

I’m out scouting a college game, haven’t had a chance to check the score of the game. Check my phone and got a text about AG from an alum buddy that goes to all the games. He said he heard the staff might suspend him a few games. Ouch. I’ll have to check out what he did.

He has had other incidents that have been addressed as aggressive/an edge/etc....this is what condoning shoulder shimmies and elbows to players leads to. I hope he learns from this.

This is the game Ayo has to prove on the court he is NBA ready. No stupid ball handling miscues or bad decisions and needs to hit the shots he capable of making

The common thing to say in this forum is "That's so Illinois".........
Well saying that Purdue is a bad team when they are 8-1 at home and have beaten some great teams in mackey, and not recognizing how well we are playing is "So Illinois Fan".....

Painter had them game prepped to stop the weave to the right...Ayo predominant and loved direction for drives. BU should alter the weave to go back left and get Ayo to do quick switchback from high screen to get defender off-balance/caught in order to go back right.

I agree with this, it may very well cost us the game being short handed if Giorgi can't stay in there. It needs to be blown up, it's a dirty play that in the past if anyone from Indiana, Duke, Michigan, Mizzou, or any other hated team did to us, we would all be up in arms over it. No use for it and no need for a #21 ranked team to have done for them when playing good.
